We are glad to inform you that under the banner of Gujarat Cricket Association, We shortly starting with a new initiative of Umpires Academy for the new Upcoming Umpires who want to pursue ther cariier as an Umpire.

The academy will be equipped with separate class room space containing all the modern facilities like power point presentation on Laws of Cricket with relavant videos, explaination and demonstatring filed techniques also. The guest lectureres shall be invited on current topics/ issues from the panel of retired or current Umpires from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) preferred International Umpires. The candiates will be provided with basic literature along with the art of field training session

The director of the Academy shall be Mr. Amish Saheba - International Umpire India and State of Gujarat shall be imparting his vast knowledge in the field of Cricket Umpiring who has experience of 52 One day Internationals 5 test matches in India and abroad with over 100 Ranji trophy matches.

The basic objective for establishaing the academy is to create as sense of responnsibility with Earning by enjoying the game and creating confidence among the youth. Everybody cannot become SACHIN TENDULKAR or represent the country or his state, this is a new direction / field by which an individual can represent his country with hard work, commitment and dedication in achieving his goals of life with pride.

The courses shall be conducted / explained in English and Gujarati. The Registration shall be done on first come first serve basis with no admission fees at Gujarat Cricket assocation office at Sardar Patel Stadium, Motera Sabarmati, Ahmedabad between 12:00 - 7:00 pm on all working days. the Academy has started functioning from 8th August 2011.
